Kim Valeri

A yogi and spiritual counselor who brings clarity and understanding to your healing and self-realization. Overcoming a near-death injury more than 20 years ago allowed Kim Valeri to free her consciousness and acquire the knowledge to release pain and suffering within herself. Today the master teacher helps others do the same through YOGAspirit ® , her Hamilton, MA based school with 200 Hour Teacher Certification programs taught through affiliated studios throughout New England. Kim honors all yogic lineages and has been certifying yoga teachers for more than a decade. She blends spiritual compassion with technical proficiency, inspiring students with strength, grace, and service. Her aim is to guide students to go deep and discover the spirit behind the yoga asana. In the noncompetitive environment of her sessions, students are invited to explore and open energetic pathways that lead to inner grace and well-being. Kim's studio, YOGAspirit ® , was one of the first schools to be registered with Yoga Alliance. In addition to teaching at her studio, Kim has led international retreats to Costa Rica and the Caribbean and has been a featured instructor at Yoga Journal Boston Conference and at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. She has contributed to Yoga Journal and created audio CDs to bring her style and warmth to the home yoga practice of her students. After completing B.K.S. Iyengar’s training and acquiring a certification in Kundalini yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, Kim decided that both of these paths were essential to her evolution. Kim decided not to choose a particular tradition and instead followed the path of inner contemplation. This led her to the Tantric practice of Surat Shabda Yoga, where the innermost teachings of mystical yoga, tantra, and secrets for a happy life were revealed. The essence of this devotional practice is in contemplation of inner sound.
